Lily Rymer's Story
Mrs. Lily Rymer McGill, age 87, of Chatsworth passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017.
Mrs. McGill was of the Baptist faith, loved the music of Elvis Presley, and worked Bent & Wiggly puzzles till the end.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Leaner Rymer; husband, Dewey Dude McGill; infant daughter, Mary Jane McGill; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Fred & Frances McGill of Ellijay and Tony McGill of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy & Lynn Langley, Joyce & Jerry Foxx, and Vernett & Richard Young all of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena & Doug Walker of Eton, Charlsie & Bud Walker of Crandall, and Jewell & James Nichols of Ramhurst; sisters-in-law and their husbands, Rachel & Fred Shultz of Dalton, Essie & Gary Casper of Alabama, and Betty McGill of Chatsworth; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McGills family extends its sincere thanks to Homestead Hospice for the excellent care that they provided.
Funeral services for Mrs. McGill will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with her son, Fred McGill, officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm.
