Kimberly Ann's Story

Text size

Ms. Kimberly Ann Wood Czyz, 55, of Dalton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday October 20, 2017 surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her father Scotty Wood and her grandparents.
Kim was an incredible mother, daughter, sister, mimi, co-worker and friend, full of life, laughter, and love for her family and the Lord. She was a dedicated and hardworking General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott hotel for 16 years. In those years, she made a hotel a home and never once met a stranger. She was a lover of practical jokes, anything coconut, Swedish Fish and apple fritters. Her love language was gift giving and that was apparent on every holiday. Her favorite things were soaking up the sun on the beach, shopping for the best bargains, and sitting in front of the TV watching Blake Shelton on The Voice. She loved fiercely and most of her friends and co-workers considered her family. Although the loss of Kim is great, we rejoice in her true healing through Jesus Christ.
Kimberly is survived by her mother Vivian Wood of Dalton; children and their spouses, Rhett and Abbi Smith of Ringgold, Rachel and Kent Boyd, Airman Ryan Czyz all of Dalton, Aidan Sandoval and his father Miguel Sandoval of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Scotty and Cheryl Wood of Calhoun; and her precious grandchildren, Porter Smith and Ruthie Smith.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Rock Bridge Community Church with the Rev. Matt Evans officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 5 - 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation, designated for Peeples Cancer Institute, at the following address:
