Mrs. Katheryn Robinson, 86, of Dalton, departed this life Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at the local hospital. She was born June 7, 1931, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ida Bridges Adams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lee "Sarge" Robinson; grandsons, Charles Lee Robinson Jr. and Ricky Miller; daughter-in-law, Louise Robinson; brothers, JC, Henry, Elton, Elmer, Hubert and Odell Adams; and sisters, Lillian Boozer, Susie Perry, Jean Neal and Mae Parker. She was a member of Cleveland Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Charles Robinson of Rossville; daughters and sons-in-law, Joann and Edward Mullins and Judy and Dale Bates of Dalton; brother, Dan Adams of Dalton; grandchildren, Barry Mullins, Crystal and John Bates, Robin and Jeff Heath, Chuck Robinson, Donnie Roberts and Kenny Miller; great-grandchildren, Taylor Heath, Katie Ashe, Kristopher Mullins, Cassidy Gilstrap, Cason Robinson, Seth and Striker Bates; sister-in-law, Edith Adams of Summerville; special sister-in-law, Dimple Burkett of Dalton; special friends, Kathy and Jim Ammons; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Katheryn Robinson will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Headrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Danny Adams, Christopher Adams, Cody Adams, Lesley Bates, Jeremy Bates and Chuck Robinson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 9 p.m. today.
