Joyce Ann Harrod, age 80, of Dalton, passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her son, Marty Harrod; first husband, Ruffin Harrod; second husband, Vernon Pendley; grandson, Johnathan Teem; and a great grandson, Titus Harrod.
Ms. Harrod was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Claire and Michael Teem of Acworth; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Judy Harrod of Dalton; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Harrod of Dalton; grandchildren, Ricky Harrod, Jason Harrod, Justin Harrod, Jennifer Henderson, Dena Harrod, Coye Harrod, and Zachery and Michael Teem, Jr.; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Betty Jean Green of Carrollton.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Fund.

Joyce was a very special lady. She befriended my mother-in-law Anna at Pleasant Valley and really helped her get settled. She was always happy and spoke to everyone. We are really going to miss seeing her.
