Mr. Jimmy C. Singleton, 63, of Dalton, departed this life Monday, May 15, 2017, at the local hospital. Jimmy was born March 7, 1954, in Macon. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Singleton, and stepfather, Billy Williams. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Methodist Church and he was a member of the Praise Band.
He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Singleton of the residence; mother, Martha Williams of Macon; daughters and sons-in-law, Neisha and Brandon Brophy of Calhoun and Stephanie and Tom Gable of Cypress, Texas; mother-in-law, Dotha Dempsey of Dalton; grandchildren, Zach and Josh Gable of Cypress, Texas, and Caden, Bentley, Presley, Paxley and Paisley Brophy of Calhoun; special nephew, P J and Jennie Poston of Crandall; son, Sean Singleton of Rhode Island; several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jimmy C. Singleton will be held Saturday, June 3, at 2 p.m. from the Mt. Vernon Methodist Church with the Rev. Tac Coley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 p.m. on the day of the funeral. The family would like to thank their church family and the Praise Band for all the support they have shown.
