Mr. Harlan E. Hardin age 77 of Rocky Face, formerly of Chatsworth, passed away Thursday April 6, 2017.
Mr. Hardin was a member of Mt. Rachel Baptist Church and loved the Lord. He served in law enforcement for over 20 years for both the Murray and Whitfield County Sheriff Departments.
Harlan loved riding motorcycles, golfing and trading cars. He was an avid Braves and Falcons fan.
Mr. Hardin was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Exie Hardin; brother, Lloyd Hardin; son-in-law, Terry Bearden.
Survivors include, wife, Deborah Hardin, Rocky Face; daughter, Kimberly Hardin Bearden, Chatsworth; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Hardin Goswick (Jerry), Chatsworth; special sister-in-law, Sondra Breland, Rocky Face; grandson, Aaron Gates Bearden; special pet companion for 16 years Sparky Hardin.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Hardin will be held Sunday April 9, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Greene officiating. Interment will follow in the Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
