Gary's Story

Mr. Gary Lee Butler, 72, of Chatsworth, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at his residence.
He was the owner and operator of Butler's Men Store in Chatsworth. Gary was also an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. Gary served in the Vietnam War for the U.S. Army.
Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his parents, Luke Hemphill Butler and Ruby Irene Beamer Butler.
Survivors include his wife, Kaye Rector Butler, Chatsworth; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Kimberly Butler, Ramhurst, and Scott and Rebecca Butler, Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Chris Blevins, Varnell; grandchildren, Caroline, Charlotte, Will and Jarred.
A memorial visitation for Mr. Butler will be held today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Peeples Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher House Foundation Inc., 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850.
Gary was a benefactor of the Fisher House Foundation, a network of comfort homes where military and veterans' families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements.
