Frank Bentley Fetzer Sr., age 88, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, April 6th, 2019 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Zula Mae Fetzer; stepmother, Oda Fetzer; son, Michael Lamar Fetzer; grandson, Frank "Chip" Fetzer III; 3 sisters, two brothers, and a number of in-laws.
He was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War Conflict with the 24th Infantry Division.
Frank was a barber at the Dalton Barber Shop of 65 years.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Randy Tallent of Chatsworth,; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Jr. and Kaye Fetzer of Dalton, Danny and Rochelle Fetzer of Fairhope, AL, Kenny and Crickett Fetzer of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and J.V. Williams of Cohutta; brothers and sister-in-law, Ronald and Irana Fetzer of Cohutta, Charles Fetzer of Cohutta and Phil and Judy Fetzer of Dalton; three grandchildren, Matthew Tallent, Mary Caitlin Lock and Davis Fetzer; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Fetzer, Danner and Decker Lock; nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Green and Rev. Randy McClure officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 9th, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be in the West Hill Cemetery.
Sons and grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to Rosswoods Adult Day Service.
