Mr. Doyle L. Cochran of Tunnel Hill passed away Friday November 3, 2017. He was born on November 15, 1945 in Dalton, GA. Since retirement, he and his wife have resided in Panama City, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Letcher L (Lefty) and Marie Cochran of Dalton; grandparents, Ophie and Reno Cochran of Dalton and Timothy and Viola Ellison of Dalton; son-in-law, Ray Morales; brother-in-law, Donald Maness.
He is survived by wife Patricia Ann Dunn Cochran, married 44 years on November 2, 2017; daughter and son-in-law, Angela Cochran Patterson & Auddie Patterson of Chatsworth; daughter, Kimberly Morales of LaPorte Texas; son Travis Cochran of Tunnel Hill; sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan Cochran & Tiffany Johnson Cochran of New York, Timothy Scott Cochran & Cathy Chettle Cochran of Dalton. Twenty- five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also survived by sister, Anne Cochran Maness of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Cochran and George Mizzell of Dalton and Loretta Cochran and Gordon Lance of Dalton. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Special friend to Doyle and Patricia, Tim Howard of Panama City.
Doyle is a veteran of the United States Navy and a former deputy of Whitfield County Sheriff's Department. He was also one of the original WCFD volunteers at Station 7 when the program first began. Finally, he retired from Shaw Industries where he worked in Global Sourcing until 2010.
Funeral services will be held in Panama City on Monday, the 6th, at 2:30. Arrangements for a memorial service with many family and friends in Dalton will be announced at a later date.
