Mr. Curtis Lee Webb Jr., 70, of Chatsworth, departed this life Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at his residence.
Curtis was born Oct. 20, 1946, in Maryville, Tenn., a son of the late Curtis Lee and Helen Marie Hicks Webb Sr. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Burleson and Mary Sue Byrd, and a brother, Charlie Webb.
Curtis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from Mohawk (Aladdin Plant) after 35 years of service. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Chatsworth.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Webb of Chatsworth; sons and daughter-in-law, Steven and Melissa Webb, Ed Crain, all of Chatsworth, Richard Webb and Tony Webb, both of Maryville, Tenn.; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Scott Stephens of Dalton, Joyce and Steve Hughes of Chatsworth, Jennie Lynn of Ringgold; sister, Bonnie Jennings of Maryville, Tenn.; brothers, Gene Webb of Loudon, Tenn., Kenneth Webb of Maryville, Tenn., Frankie Webb of Knoxville, Tenn.; 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Curtis Lee Webb Jr. are Friday at 10 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with his pastor, the Rev. George Johnson, officiating. Interment services will be at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery No. 2, 541 Pleasant Hill Road, Maryville. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
