Mrs. Annette Soi Smith, 69, of Tunnel Hill, departed this life Monday, March 27, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Annette was born July 18, 1947, in Cleveland, Tenn., the daughter of the late Arthur Eugene and Neppie Ruth Payne Soi. She was also preceded in death by her son, John Eugene Smith; daughter, Brenda Lee Smith White; brother, James Soi; sisters, Barbara Brogdon, Connie Burnecke and Martha Dean Soi.
Annette is survived by loving husband of 51 years, Floyd Smith of the residence; daughters, Sharon Messer of Dalton, Christy Smith Holcomb of Chatsworth; sons, Edward Lamar Smith, Anthony Smith of Tunnel Hill; brothers, Guy Soi, Jimmy Soi and Michael Soi, all of Tunnel Hill; sisters, Juanita Burnecke of Tunnel Hill, Jeanette Earley of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley, Heather, Erica, Brook, Alex, Johnathan, Jacob, Kyler, Haley, Carley, Kenzie, Trevor, Hannah, Josh, Andy and Gracie; 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dee Underwood and Marion and Carol Smith.
The service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annette Soi Smith is Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of God of the Union Assembly with the Rev. Lonnie Starnes officiating. Interment will be at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park with Andy Baldwin, Jacob Smith, Anthony Smith, Lamar Smith, Kyler Holcomb and Alex Smith serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
