Mrs. Angelica Rocio Lopez, age 40, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday morning, November 2, 2017 at her home. Angelica was born July 8, 1977 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She was very proud of the fact that she received her United States Citizenship, August 7, 2002. She was employed at Shaw Industries, Plant #84. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church.
She was a hard worker and loved to garden and loved her church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Constantina Vargas.
She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-three years, Bernardo Lopez of the residence; sons, Omar Bernardo Lopez and Alan Eduardo Lopez both of Dalton, GA; father, Gregorio Huerta of Houston, TX; grandfather, Gregorio Vargas of San Luis Potosi, Mexico; brothers, Jairo Raul Huerta Vargas of San Luis Potosi, MX, Jorge Huerta Vargas, Jose Luis Huerta Vargas, Hector Huerta Vargas and Raul Jairo Huerta Vargas all of Houston, TX; sisters, Maria Maribel Huerta Vargas of San Luis Potosi, MX, Ericka Jesenia Huerta Vargas, Carolina Guillermina Huerta Vargas and Lizeth Huerta Vargas all of Houston, TX; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Noon at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Duvan Gonzalez officiating. She will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with her family and close friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday with Rosary being held at 7:00 p.m. and also after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
